Job Title: Techno-Functional Manager (Pharma Experience)

Position Summary:

we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Techno-Functional Manager / Business Analyst (PM/BA) to join our consulting team for projects including pharmaceutical data integration, governance, processing and analytics. In this role, you will bridge the technical and business aspects of data onboarding projects, managing the delivery of IT solutions that align with business goals. The ideal candidate will be an expert in stakeholder management, particularly within the Japanese business environment and have experience working with cross-functional teams in the US and India.

As a techno-functional leader, you will manage end-to-end project delivery, coordinate with global teams and ensure that the project progresses on time, within scope and aligns with client objectives. The role will require both strong technical understanding and a deep understanding of business processes, analysis and project management.

Nice to have extensive hands-on experience with modern technology like Informatica, Databricks, Python along with the understanding of regulatory and business landscapes of Japan’s pharmaceutical industry.

Key Job Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Lead requirements-gathering sessions, ensuring alignment between business and technology teams.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for IT and data engineering teams.
• Prioritize requirements based on business value and technical feasibility.
• Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews and documentation reviews to refine business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business goals and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

• Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring mutual understanding of goals and deliverables.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in Japan, understanding their requirements and business objectives.
• Work effectively within the Japanese business culture, facilitating collaboration with global teams in India and the US.
• Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to help stakeholders leverage data solutions effectively.

Process Improvement & Governance

• Support Agile project execution by participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure best practices in data governance, data quality and compliance with Japans pharmaceutical data regulations.

Technical & Analytical Responsibilities

• Possess a foundational understanding of data management, ETL processes and system integrations.
• Work closely with data engineers to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.
• Support the implementation of Databricks for data analysis and reporting.
• Handle structured and unstructured data sources, including PDFs and raw text.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud is a plus.

Reporting & Insights Generation

• Support data-driven decision-making by analyzing business trends and providing insights.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to define key performance metrics and reporting needs.
• Ensure data solutions align with business reporting and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in Business Analysis, with experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences industries preferred.
• Business Analysis Expertise: Strong experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management and process improvement.
• Pharma Data Knowledge: Familiarity with datasets like IQVIA, Veeva CRM, patient claims or sales data.
• Technical Understanding: Ability to work with data engineering teams on system integrations and ETL processes. Experience with Databricks and Informatica IDMC is a plus.
• Stakeholder & Cultural Management: Strong collaboration skills to work with business teams in Japan and global teams in India and the US.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in both Japanese and English is required.
