Roles and Responsibilities
Sr Devops Engineer / Consultant
Essential Requirements (Yellow shaded parts are mandatory)
- Experience of Agile Methodologies.
- Strong DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code experience of 8 years or above
- Expertise in Puppet Labs or Ansible
- Expertise in Terraform, Hashicorp Vault & Foreman
- Expertise in Windows & Unix Operating Systems
- Expertise in network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP).
- Expertise in Build tools like Jenkins to build re-usable release pipelines, release and configuration management tools like Chef/Puppet/Ansible platforms (any one is mandatory)
- Scripting Skills: Strong Scripting (e.g. Python, Shell or PowerShell any one is mandatory) and Automation skills like CMDB discovery mechanisms
- Expertise in VMware vSphere, vCenter, Virtual SAN, Virtual Switches & Security Systems (good to have)
- Expertise in VMware vRealize Automation and VMware vRealize Orchestration (good to have)
Desirable Requirements
- Experience on tools like Dockers, Kubernetes, will be an added advantage
- Excellent hands-on knowledge on Jira or ServiceNow or Remedy platform
- Experience of web service technologies (preferably REST/JSON based).
- Experience with Microservices architecture.
- Experience working in a development process employing continuous delivery.
- Good understanding of object-oriented design patterns.
- Experience in using Terraform to automate deployment in the multi-stage environments.
- Agile practitioner, familiar with extreme programming, test-driven development, pairing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and related techniques
- Experience with Cloud Foundry / AWS / Public Cloud
